From Pablo Picasso's Guernica to Emile Zola's J'accuse, art and writing has long served as a catalyst for change in society. Creative Expressions subscribes to the idea that art and writing can and should be used for the betterment of humankind. With this in mind, Creative Expressions students will be given the opportunity to participate in activities in which their creativity will be used as a tool for social change. Two such opportunities are Fine Art Friends, in conjunction with Semiahmoo House Society, and Advocacy through Creative Expression with Amnesty International.
